Sun Siyam Diving Irufushi
The dive centre of Sun Siyam Irufushi is located at the end of the jetty, near the house reef in the shallow lagoon of the resort at the South West side. Immediate access to the house reef and the shallow lagoon is possible through a solid ladder with wooden steps covered with anti slip material from the large deck around the dive centre. The ladder entrance and exit is located on the South side of the deck.
The dive centre consists of a reception area, three classrooms, office, wet room and a compressor room with 3 Bauer Verticus 5 (550 L per min.) compressors and a Coltri membrane compressor which delivers 22 till 40% enriched air.
PETER Diving System is used in the luxury fluid pool located in the middle of the resort for ‘Try Out’ sessions and in the Nemo Underwater Park which is located in the shallow lagoon (max depth 2.5 meters) between the Dive Centre and the resort.
The Under Water Park is a protected area with almost no current and ideal to familiarise yourself with PETER Diving System. The abundant colonies of anemones, damsel fishes and juvenile fuseliers form a colourful scene in which baby sharks and stingrays seek protection until they grow up to be big enough to face the dangers in deeper water. In the case a PETER Diving enthusiast would like to explore the open water, the house reef is only 30 meters away reachable through the shallow lagoon and barrier reef on the West side of the resort.
Sun Syam Diving Irufushi has been granted quite a reputation in the last decade: PADI Final Rush Maldives Winner 2009, PADI Green Star Award 2012 and the SSI Diamond Award 2017.
Additionally, their team is fully commited with the marine conservation in their area by taking actions such as setting up the Nemo Under Water Park in the lagoon, and celebrating every year the Earth Day, Ocean Day , Environmental Day organising clean up events. Also keeping healthy the marine micro-ecosystem below the Local Island Harbour.
